THE WAY THROUGH

Follow your curiosity.

A SMALL PLACE TO START

Bring your questions.
Especially the weird ones.

Open a note. Follow a thread. See where it takes you.

A little more direction

FOR INDEPENDENT MINDS & THE BUSINESSES THEY BUILD

You have more to work with
than you think.

The stories you tell over coffee. The things you collect. The questions that follow you home. There are clues in all of it. Off Script gives you a way to notice them, make sense of them, and turn them into a clear creative direction.

THE FIELD GUIDE / FOUR CHAPTERS

From loose thoughts
to a point of view.

Take a look inside.

CHAPTER 01 / THE HUMAN PART

Start with what’s already there.

Before choosing colors or writing a clever introduction, get curious about the person behind the work. Your experiences, contradictions, and obsessions are useful material.

YOU’LL MAKE

A story map: the experiences, values, and questions that make your work yours.

In the margins of this chapter…

  1. 01

    Write without tidying.

Follow a prompt before deciding what it means.

  2. 02

    Notice what keeps returning.

Highlight the words, memories, and ideas with a little charge.

  3. 03

    Borrow someone else’s eyes.

Ask a trusted person for a specific story about you.

Curiosity first. Editing comes later.

Each chapter brings together writing, a real-world experiment, a focused worksheet, and space to reflect.

A NOTE FROM YOUR GUIDE

Hi, I’m Alexis.

I’m a photographer, author, and former classroom teacher. I’m drawn to people who surprise me, good questions, and a strong cup of coffee.

My work starts with listening. I look for the human story, the unexpected connection, the detail that makes everything else click.

Off Script brings that way of working into a course. I’ll help you ask better questions, recognize what matters, and make creative choices you can explain—and feel good about.

See you at the table,
Alexis

HOW WE’LL WORK

A little on your own.
A little together.

There’s room to follow your own thoughts, and room to bring them to someone who will listen closely.

01.

The shared table

All four chapters and worksheets, plus two group calls to compare notes, ask questions, and work through what you’re finding.

02.

A closer conversation

Everything at the shared table, plus four individual calls with me—one for each chapter—to shape the direction of your own work.

Want me in the studio with you?
Hands-on creative direction is an option, too.

A few things you might be wondering.

Who is this for?

Independent creatives, founders, and small business owners who want a clearer story and a more intentional way to show up. Bring a real project or business to work on, even if it’s still an idea.

Do I need to know anything about design?

You can start with curiosity. We’ll use writing, observation, conversation, and simple visual experiments. You’ll develop a direction you can use yourself or share with a designer, photographer, or creative collaborator.

What will I have at the end?

You’ll work toward a story map, a clear point of view, a visual direction sheet, and a creative brief for your next project. Each one grows from your own work in the course.

When does it start, and what does it cost?

The first cohort is taking shape. Dates and pricing will be announced when the course is ready. Join the waitlist for updates and an invitation when enrollment opens. Joining is free and doesn’t reserve or purchase a place.

THE NEXT GOOD THING STARTS SOMEWHERE.

Pull up a chair.

Bring the ideas you can’t quite explain yet.
We’ll give them a little room.

First cohort in the making. Dates & pricing to come.

A SMALL EXPERIMENT / 3 MINUTES

What do you keep coming back to?

A subject, a place, a question, a feeling. Write what comes to mind. Follow the thought before deciding whether it belongs in your work.

OR PICK UP A PEN.
Print a worksheet

Your writing stays here. “Keep this note” saves it only in this browser.

A DIFFERENT WAY TO LOOK

What’s just outside the frame?

A creative portrait photograph by Alexis Wolfe.

Choose a photograph, an object, or a piece of work you’re drawn to. Look for one detail you might usually pass over.

What does it suggest about the person behind it? What does your attention to it tell you about yourself?

Collect the clue. You can make sense of it later.

FIRST COHORT / IN THE MAKING

A place at the table.

Leave your name and email, and I’ll let you know when Off Script opens. Dates and pricing are still taking shape.

I’m curious about…

Free to join. No payment or commitment.

Good questions welcome.
